The Omani Women Association in Ibri

First: Inception

The Omani Women Association in Ibri was declared in pursuant with the Ministerial Decision No. 61/86 on 8/9/1986. It is a social, cultural and voluntary organization that aims at promoting Omani women in all social and cultural arenas. It also works to expand the voluntary women work base in terms of number and geographical area. Its headquarters is located in the Wilayah of Ibri in Al-Dhahira Governorate.     

Second: Objectives

Undertake activities in the field of voluntary work as follows:

  1. Promote the social, cultural and health level for women and children.
  2. Enhance women’s contribution to the enterprises of local communities development planning.
  3. Contribute to the educational renaissance in the Sultanate through establishing the Child Corners.
  4. Build the women’s awareness towards more devotion to original Omani traditions.  
             

Third: Programs and Activities

Bring into view the issues of woman and family through giving them high priority in the Association’s care and activities with the pursuit to implement many awareness and rehabilitation programs and offering social services as to contribute to culturally and economically promote the Omani women and family as well as commemorating religious and national occasions in cooperation and coordination with other associations.

  1. Commemorate religious and national occasions.
  2. Offer aid and assistance to the society members.
  3. Participate in programs and enterprises.
  4. Cooperate with other associations.

The Omani Women Association in Yanqul

First: Inception

The Omani Women Association in Yanqul was declared in pursuant with the Ministerial Decision No. 28/94 on 9/4/1994. It is a social, cultural and voluntary organization that aims at promoting Omani women in all social and cultural arenas. It also works to expand the voluntary women work base in terms of number and geographical area. Its headquarters is located in the wilaya of Yanqul in Al-Dhahira Governorate.     

Second: Objectives

  1. Offer social services and guidance for adopting healthy life methods, relief the poor and needy families if they lose their breadwinner or are exposed to disasters. In this regard, it also offers other types of aid and assistance.
  2. Teach women some industries or handicrafts to help them afford for living.
  3. Exert efforts to establish charitable enterprises whose revenues are allocated to programs run by the Association such as the Disabled Program Enterprise.
  4. Work in the field of family planning and give directions and instructions to women as to achieve the required family well-being in the form of awareness programs, seminars and lectures.
  5. Promote local communities on correct social foundations and increase the civil society efforts in all fields in order to meet the needs of those communities.
  6. Participate in the programs and enterprises that aim at taking care of children and mothers like the National Children Care Plan, vaccination awareness programs, etc.
  7. Seek the development of the traditions that are based on virtue and are emerging from the society’s history, its values and principles that are derived from true Islam and to combat the effects that hinder the society’s growth and progress.
  8. Cooperate with other associations, identify their work methods and make benefit of their experiences and expertise through exchanging visits.

The Omani Women Association in Dhank was declared in pursuant with the Ministerial Decision No. 270/2001 on 1/10/2001. It is a social, cultural and voluntary organization that aims at promoting Omani women in all social and cultural arenas. It also works to expand the voluntary women work base in terms of number and geographical area. Its headquarters is located in the wilaya of Dhank in Al-Dhahira Governorate.     

Second: Objectives

Undertake activities in the field of voluntary work as follows:

  1. Promote the social, cultural and health level of women and children.
  2. Contribute to the educational renaissance in the Sultanate through establishing the Child Corners.
  3. Teach women some handicrafts and train them to enhance their economic level.
  4. Positively participate in the celebrations of national, religious and world occasions.
