Conditions for obtaining the service

  1. The applicant has to be of an Omani nationality.
  2. To be from the categories stated in the Social Security Law.
  3. To have no other adequate income of livelihood equivalent to the eligible salary
  4. To have no obligated provider who can support him\her financially.

Documents required for the application

First: Documents required from all categories

  1. (3) photographs of the applicant (size 4 x4).
  2. A copy of the passport or ID card of the applicant.
  3. A copy of the passport or ID card of the wife and minor children who are less than 18 years old
  4. A copy of the passport or ID card of the minor siblings who are less than 18 years old (If the application is for orphans).
  5. Copies of birth certificates of minor children and orphan siblings that contains civil number. (If they have no new passport or ID cards).

Second: Documents required from each category separately in addition to the previous documents:

Orphan category:

  1. An official document of father’s death.
  2. A legitimate resolution of counting the heirs + estate inventory.
  3. A copy of the passport or ID card of the father.

Widow category

  1. An official document of husband’s death.
  2. A legitimate document that proves widowhood and being unmarried.
  3. A legitimate resolution of counting the heirs + estate inventory of the husband.
  4. An approved certificate of the number of marriages and children from each husband.
  5. A copy of the passport or ID card of the deceased husband.

Divorcee category

  1. A legitimate document that proves divorce and being unmarried.
  2. An approved certificate of the number of marriages and children from each husband.

Abandoned woman category

  1. A legitimate resolution that proves abandonment
  2. A copy of the passport or ID card of the migrant husband.

Unmarried girl category

  1. An official document of father’s death.
  2. A legitimate document that proves being unmarried.
  3. A legitimate resolution of counting the heirs + father’s estate inventory.
  4. A copy of the passport or ID card of the deceased father.

Prisoner’s family category

  1. A copy of the sentence or an official certificate of the verdict against the family father and an official proof of entering the prison.
  2. Marriage contract or an official certificate that proves the name of the husband.
  3. A copy of the passport or ID card of the imprisoned family father.

The disabled category

  1. A medical report of the health case – in Arabic- showing the type of disease or disability and the capability to work ( for people who have reached the legal age).
  2. Marriage contract or an official certificate that proves the name of the wife (for the married applicant).
  3. An approved certificate of the number of marriages and children from each wife (for the married applicant).
  4. A medical report showing the details of the health case – in Arabic- for the minor disabled who are less than 18 years old.
